Meet the Principal
Rachel Langston
My name is Rachel Langston, and it is my honor to serve as the new principal of Farmers Branch Elementary for the upcoming school year. I am passionate about ensuring that all students are engaged in meaningful, supportive, joyful learning that positively impacts their growth and development. I am honored to partner with you and the amazing staff at FBE as we work together for the success of all of our Mustangs!
I am a first-generation college graduate receiving my undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech University and my master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University in Denton. I have been a proud public educator for the past 21 years. I started my career teaching in my home state of Louisiana. I moved to Texas in 2006 and made CFBISD my professional home.
I taught 3rd and 4th grade and served as the International Baccalaureate Coordinator at Las Colinas Elementary. In 2012, I began serving as an Elementary Literacy Coach, where I worked with staff and students at multiple elementary campuses, supporting reading and writing instruction. In 2019, I began my journey into administration, and I served as the Assistant Principal of McKamy Elementary the past 4 years.
When I am not at school, you will find me with a book by the pool, traveling, teaching kiddos at church, or playing games and hanging out with friends and family. I make many trips back home to Louisiana to visit my family and spend time with my niece and nephew.
I am passionate about helping each child reach their fullest potential! I look forward to a great school year! I am here for you, so please feel free to reach out and let me know how I can best serve you!
