First Grade Chickens!

First Grade Chickens!

Excitement is hatching in our first grade classrooms as students prepare to witness a truly unforgettable learning experience! First graders are caring for chicken eggs that will soon begin to hatch right before their eyes.

As part of a hands-on science unit, students will observe each stage of the life cycle—from egg to chick—learning about growth, change, and responsibility along the way. Teachers are guiding discussions about how living things develop, what animals need to survive, and the important role of care and patience in the process.

The classroom has been buzzing with curiosity as students eagerly check on the eggs each day, making predictions and asking thoughtful questions. When the chicks begin to hatch, it will be an exciting and memorable moment that brings their learning to life in a very special way.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing PTA for generously funding this project. Their support has made it possible for students to experience this interactive and meaningful lesson that they will remember for years to come.

Stay tuned for updates as our first graders welcome their new fluffy friends and continue exploring the wonders of the life cycle! 🐣
